How the world has changed in just a few short weeks! We would like to take this time to thank all our customers for continuing to support us and other local small businesses. We have always worked to provide a useful, interesting, and quality mix of goods for the kitchen and home. We also strive to provide valuable product knowledge, cooking advice, and ideas for gifts and decorating. During this time of social distancing, this has all become extremely challenging.
However, staying at home means increased time in the kitchen, cooking and dining with family, and home entertainment. Birthdays, anniversaries, holidays, and gift-giving events continue as well. So, during these changing and challenging times, we are here to help in any way we can. The interior of our store is closed to the public until we get the “all clear,” but we are here during regular store hours to assist you by phone, email, and Facebook to provide curbside service. In addition, as the need arises, we are providing a daily in-town delivery window for those who cannot or who are unwilling to visit the store, free for purchases of at least $25.00.
We are adding many more products to our website, starting with the most obvious categories in need right now: oil & vinegar, coffee, bath and body, cleaning, and cookware. Gift certificates are available online as well, and can be mailed free anywhere in the contiguous U.S.
Finally, this blog space will become much more frequent and valuable. Watch for regular posts on topics including products, cooking, entertaining, and industry news. We really miss our in-store interactions with you on all these topics but will share our expertise and opinions as much as possible right here. We are about to share news of special sales from a couple of vendors that are a pretty big deal, starting Wednesday. We will get through this! In the meantime, we all need to buckle down and take precautions, and support each other as best we can.
And on that note, despite the increase in dining at home, we would be remiss not to express our support for the restaurants in both our own shopping center and throughout Lincoln who greatly need our help during this time. To the extent you are able, we encourage everyone to order from the following restaurants currently offering takeout: Venue, The Oven, Kinja, Mr. Hui’s #2, Culver’s...and a shout out up 70th street to Le Quartier! We want all these and other Lincoln restaurants to make it to the other side of this crisis and we look forward to the day when we can once again see you all at nearby tables, talking, laughing, and enjoying these wonderful foods.
